Make it tangible

At Opal, we believe in getting images off the screen and into the real world.

A photograph or piece of artwork can look great on a monitor, but there’s something different about seeing it in print. You notice things. The texture of the paper matters. The size matters. The way the colors sit on the surface matters. It becomes an object instead of just another file.

That’s a big part of why we started Opal. We wanted to build a print shop where people could bring us work they actually care about and know that we’d care about it too.

We work with photographers, artists, and people who simply have an image they want to see printed properly. Sometimes it’s a piece going into a gallery. Sometimes it’s a reproduction of an original painting. Sometimes it’s a family photograph that just means a lot to someone. They’re all important for different reasons.

We keep a selection of archival papers and canvas in the studio because there really isn’t one paper that works for everything. A soft matte paper can be perfect for one image and completely wrong for another. Some work needs texture. Some needs deeper blacks or a little more shine. A lot of what we do is helping people figure out what actually suits their image.

And once we start printing, we pay attention. Color, sharpness, detail, sizing, all of it. We want the finished print to look right, but more than that, we want it to feel like something worth keeping.

Make it limitless

Beyond technology and materials, what sets us apart is our philosophy. Printing is more than a service - to us, it’s a collaboration. We take time to understand the intention behind every image, offering guidance on sizing, paper selection, and finish, so that the final result feels authentic to the artist’s vision. No two projects are alike, and we embrace that individuality.

We also believe in accessibility: museum-quality prints should not be reserved only for galleries or collectors. Whether you’re creating one special print or preparing a full exhibition, our pricing is transparent, our process simple, and our commitment unwavering.

At Opal, we don’t just make prints - we make heirlooms, conversation pieces, and works of art that hold meaning far beyond the paper they’re printed on. We are here to help your work live in the physical world, where it can be seen, touched, and remembered.
